How to keep your wellies well

The proper Rain-Boot Care is easy once you understand the make-up of your wellies: rubber. Rubber is a natural material that will deteriorate over time and this process will quicken up if they are left outside at all times. The best way to keep your Funky Mud Boots looking Funky is to not store them outside where the sun shines on them all day long (if you're lucky enough to have sunshine!) When not in use, store them inside, out of the weather.When left outside, the drying out of the rubber will quicken and make your boots crack and weaken the joints. To keep your wellies clean, just wipe with a damp cloth. The bright colours we use to decorate our boots and kloggies, are based on liquidised rubber, this is why, after the chemical finishing process in the factory, the colour stays on.

How long will your boots and kloggies last?

This is like asking how long a piece of string is! It really depends on how and how often you use your boots/kloggies. I have some customers who use their boots everyday in the garden, doing quite physical work. They are very happy to buy a new pair every year because they get so much use out of them. Other customers don't come back for 3 or 4 years, as they mainly use their boots for walking the dog.

It's a bit like French lace underwear, the better you care for your possessions, the longer they last!
